The garden space has been cleared! We were able to work out a plan with maintenance that will work for everyone in the long run. Thank you to everyone that has made this garden dream a reality, especially Kenilworth and Petaluma City Schools for putting the needs of the kids first. A huge thanks to Dave and his team for clearing the spot!!!
9/10/2012 We got a donation of a garden hoe and gardening gloves from the Martinek family! We will add that to the pile of seeds, donated compost from Sonoma Compost, and a pair of gardening shears. Thank you! We have run into a bit of a snag over the location of the garden. The area that I thought was agreed upon for the garden, the grassy area by the wood shop, has come into dispute. We are currently trying to work out a compromise on the location of the garden with maintenance and administration.
8/21/2012 We have 6 half wine barrels! We still need an expert builder to help with making the boxes and all the gardening supplies, shovels, a wheelbarrow, 10-20 pairs of gardening gloves, pruning shears, and trowels. We are on our way!
