Who is Mrs. Galdamez?
I am Mrs. Galdamez or Senora G for all you Spanish students. This is my ninth year teaching, and my third year at Kenilworth Junior High.
I have taught all levels of Spanish and recently developed the Culinary Arts program at Kenilworth. My goals for this year are to create a project based curriculum for my Spanish classes and incorporate technology to support learning at home. I am also working on starting a garden with the culinary class so we can grow our own organic vegetables to use in our dishes. Maybe one day we can sell our delicious veggies to parents and neighbors. Check out my Kenilworth Garden page for some inspiring ideas.
My husband and I have led students on tours of Peru, Chile, Spain, and Costa Rica. We have a trip to London, Paris and the Alps planned for summer of 2014. Click here for a link to the EF Tour website. You must talk with me before you enroll in this tour. There is an application process.
Other than teaching, I have a very busy life with my husband, who is also a Spanish teacher, and my two children who are 6 and 3. Our oldest son attends the Spanish immersion school, Loma Vista in Petaluma. I am currently in graduate school at Sonoma State University where I am pursuing my masters in Curriculum, Teaching and Learning with an emphasis on Educational Leadership. I am excited to share my travels and new knowledge with you and learn about each of my new students.
